We’ve given a playful twist to the classic vanilla milkshake with our Rainbow Sprinkle Shake. This fun and colourful treat blends smooth vanilla ice cream with milk for creaminess, and folds in rainbow sprinkles for a cheerful crunch. It’s simple, quick, and guaranteed to bring a smile to any child’s face. The best part? It feels like a party in a glass — making it perfect for birthdays, after-school treats, or whenever little ones need a pick-me-up.

Ingredients

  • 300ml whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)

  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream

  • 2 tbsp rainbow sprinkles (plus extra for topping)

  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Directions

  • Add the milk and vanilla ice cream into a blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of sprinkles (reserve the rest for garnish).
  • Pour into glasses, top with whipped cream if using, and decorate with the remaining sprinkles.

Key Notes

  • For fussy eaters, leave out the whipped cream for a simpler, less “messy” shake.
  • Swap rainbow sprinkles for chocolate sprinkles if your child prefers.
  • Make it extra special: serve with a fun straw or decorate the glass rim with sprinkles stuck on using a little honey.
  • Best enjoyed straight away before the sprinkles dissolve.

Variation Tips

Swap vanilla ice cream for strawberry, chocolate, or bubblegum flavours for extra fun.

Blend in fresh fruit (like strawberries or banana) for a healthier twist.

Use plant-based ice cream & milk for a vegan-friendly shake.

Turn it into a party shake by adding edible glitter, marshmallows, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Make mini rainbow shakes in small cups for kids’ parties.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

They dissolve in the shake if blended in too soon. Always stir some in and save most for topping.

Makes the shake watery instead of creamy—use just enough to blend.

It helps hold the sprinkles and toppings in place for that “wow” effect.

A little goes a long way—too many can make the shake overly sweet.

Best enjoyed immediately, before sprinkles lose their crunch.
