This moist and flavorful banana, apple and yoghurt loaf combines the sweetness of ripe bananas, the freshness of apples, and the creaminess of yogurt. Your little one will love its soft, comforting texture.

There are so many ways to use your banana, apple, and yogurt loaf. Here are a couple of my favorite ways to serve it to kids:
- Turn it into French toast – serve it with drippy syrup and fresh banana slices.
- Toast little squares and top it with nut butter, blueberries and some crunchy granola.
- Serve it warm with cinnamon butter.

Ingredients
2 medium ripe bananas (mashed, about 1 cup)
1 medium apple (peeled, cored, and finely grated, about ½ cup)
½ cup plain yoghurt (Greek or regular)
½ cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Combine the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, grated apple, yogurt, sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour into the loaf pan: Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake: Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
- This loaf keeps well at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Enjoy it plain or with a smear of butter or cream cheese!
- For added texture, fold in ½ cup of chopped nuts or raisins.
Use a tart apple, like Granny Smith, for a hint of tanginess, or a sweeter apple, like Fuji, for extra sweetness.- For added texture, fold in ½ cup of chopped nuts or raisins.
