We’ve given a fun twist to the classic fruit punch with this colourful, vitamin-packed version that’s perfect for children and family gatherings. Naturally sweetened with fruit rather than sugar, this punch is bursting with vitamin C from oranges, antioxidants from berries, and hydration from tropical pineapple and apple juice. It’s light, refreshing, and makes a wonderful alternative to fizzy drinks at parties. Kids love the bright colours, while parents can feel good about serving a healthy treat.

Ingredients

  • 500ml fresh orange juice

  • 500ml pineapple juice

  • 300ml apple juice (no added sugar)

  • 1 handful strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 1 handful grapes, halved

  • 1 small apple, chopped into cubes

  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced (optional, for freshness)

  • A few sprigs of fresh mint

  • 250ml sparkling water (optional for a fizzy version)

  • Ice cubes, to serve

Directions

  • In a large jug or punch bowl, pour in the orange, pineapple, and apple juice. Stir gently to combine.
  • Add the sliced strawberries, grapes, apple cubes, cucumber slices (if using), and mint sprigs.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to infuse.
  • Just before serving, add ice cubes and top with sparkling water if you’d like a fizzy touch.
  • Serve in fun cups or glasses with colourful straws to make it party-ready!

Key Notes

  • No fizz? Skip the sparkling water if your child prefers it still.
  • Make it extra fun: Freeze small berries in ice cube trays with water or juice — they’ll keep the punch cool and look exciting.
  • Parent upgrade: Add a splash of ginger ale or soda water for your glass for a more grown-up edge.
  • Batch-friendly: Double the recipe for larger parties — it keeps well chilled for up to 24 hours.

Variation Tips

Add sparkling water for a fizzy twist that kids will love.

Mix in tropical fruits like mango or pineapple for an exotic punch.

For a lighter option, dilute with coconut water for natural sweetness.

Common Mistakes

Adding too much citrus can make the punch overly tangy for children.

Using artificial fruit juices instead of fresh or 100% juice makes it less healthy.

Overloading with fruits can make the punch too sweet and heavy.
